It's been almost two weeks now since the Pacific Xtreme Combat's PXC 34 event was held at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in the Philippines. You've probably read about the results and blow-by-blow analysis about the fights, or have even watched the videos online. This is Ritrato Zilvidu's last installment of the photo coverage of PXC 34 for mmaorient.net (go check out the website for the full event coverage, fight results and more) The event was held on November 17, 2012. Check out Zilvidu's best photos at PXC 34. In the above photo, both fighters were already bleeding from their mouth and nose when this image was captured. Both fighters have high accuracy with their striking and have undeniable endurance and fighting spirit. Kimura and Delumeau showed excellent conditioning, as both took a lot of punches, up until Kimura caught Delumeau with a really solid punch that eventually led to the TKO finish in the 3rd.

Fil-Am fighters faced each other in the co-main event in what I consider a "Super-Fight" between Hawaii based MMA Veteran and PXC Lightweight Champion Harris Sarmiento and Mark Striegl. The fight ended quickly, and both fighters were facing my opposite side of the cage when the Baguio based Mark Striegl finished Sarmiento with a Keylock submission which he refers to as the "Fil-Americana". It was the second time he became victorious using this kind of submission technique. Having said that, I think that the picture below is probably my best shot of Mark Striegl at PXC 34 backstage after the fight. Photo-op with the beautiful face at PBA courtside, Miss Erika Padilla and her friend. Ortiz def. Arenal via Split Decision. In the first televised fight in AKTV on IBC13, Tanaka defeated Russell Doane via Rear Naked Choke.
And the image below is hands down, my favorite shot of this match, if not of the entire event. With the fight going into round 3 and in between rounds, Michinori Tanaka and cornerman Katsumura couldn't help but appreciate the head turner of a ring card girl, Miss Abby Poblador! Talk about being so relaxed in the middle of a slugfest! Dario Banario went up against Ernesto Montilla. This fight went the distance, with Team Lakay's Banario winning by Unanimous Decision. It was back and forth action but Dario controlled the pace of the fight, taking it to the ground where he imposed his strength over Montilla in the G&P game.
